Icon37 Senators re-sign Duclair (1 yr, $1.65 million AAV)

Looked great down the stretch for Ottawa. Still, fifth team in five years and he has a knack for wearing out welcomes. I'm intrigued.

I think he's a frustrating player. You see what he could be if he could put it all together - just doesn't seem to be happening.

Moments where he dominates, but mostly in-effective and you don't notice him.

The rumours are that he and work ethic don't get along well. He's likely to end up overseas with a long career a la Nigel Dawes. This is probably his last chance to show that he belongs in the NHL. If he can't make hay at the top of a weak Senators roster, he's not NHL material.

They sure can when they offer the player 2.5 times last season's salary and little to no competition for top 6 ice time.

19 goals for Duclair last year, by the way. He's terrible at playing systems or defense but he can fit in easy in Ottawa.
