The whole purpose of a “stock” is it is ownership in a company / backed by the companies “value” as an asset. They are relatively liquid and tradeable / transferable . What would the coin “do” that owning the stock doesn’t ? (Companies basically already tried this with utility coins and the SEC was not happy and stopped it )

I envision block chain could allow direct trading of a stock like currency without going through an intermediary.
If fiat and crypto are similar, then I'm saying the future might have instances of people wanting to go back to commodity back currencies.
Relatively liquid isn't completely liquid. Some people hate waiting for their funds to take a few days to clear.
