If you are awaiting trial for murder, how are you able to use your passport to get overseas?
I am thinking some sort of red flag would go up.
Just curious. Glad he will get his day court.

Presumably he didn't use his passport... Maybe just got smuggled out?

The gubment, customs, airlines and airport security are too busy with catching terrorists and people bringing in over their limit of duty free to worry about a white kid flying with fake ID.

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for the family of the victim to have the accused escape justice. Obviously nothing will ever heal their pain, but at least they know the accused is going to have to face music now.

The Viet Government is pressing charges on a man they caught posing as a Barber...
When pressed he confessed "I have no idea what I'm doing..."

Not sure why it wasn't kept at 150k. Why does he get a 50k discount? That's stupid.

That might the reason, he already paid $50k in cash.

Yeah, he likely would forfeit the Bond or 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' would be coming calling.

That'd be the day when I'd put up $50k + surety, for my basement dwelling pot smoking son against 1st degree murder charges... But, I don't have kids, so maybe I don't understand?

So I wonder, does dad call up his local banker and say, I need a load for $100k and the banker says, ok, are you doing some home Reno’s and dad says no, my son skipped on his bail.....
Classic cap humour on the barber comment, good work all, keep it up.

It's confusing how the article is written. But there's a Global article that clarifies the amount...
Quote:
Queen’s Bench Justice Eric Macklin ruled just two thirds of the full bail posted would be seized–amounting to $100,000.
|
It's really annoying that he gets a discount on his son's bail. Laughable actually.
