What did Carol and the kid do with their horses while hanging out with Darryl for the afternoon/ overnight? It shows them walking along with him a good distance before getting to his campsite.

So, uh, Negan is on the lose again...I figured they weren't keeping him in a cage until he died. Michone will not be pleased. I hope this doesn't lead into another Negan war in the future.
And the talkie walkies...ugh. So what, these people just wander around with herds? Do they sneak off to go get food and sleep? The logistics of the whole thing might work in a comic, but I don't buy it here. Maybe the good guys should just start firebombing herds. Which they really should have been doing all along.

The door is unlocked......come on writers, don't be so lazy.
I actually think that a great twist for the show would be for Negan et al to combine with Hilltop/Alexandria/The Kingdom against the Walker Mask wearing people. It is clear they are the new "enemy".

I'm wondering how that would work though. Wouldn't they need to be covered in walker guts for them not to be noticed? I don't think just wearing a mask would blend in with them.

I feel like if we unpack this too much the whole show will fall apart......

All in all, I thought this half season was half decent, which is about 10 times more decent that I was expecting after the last season or two.

I predict this is exactly what will happen. Negan seems to have a bond with Judith, and I'm guessing she'll convince Michonne and the others to bring him on board to help battle the Whisperers.

I would have preferred to have Negan have some sort of self sacrifice to redeem himself, and then turn to be one of the "good guys." Like he finds his cell is unlocked, and then just leaves it alone. Then have something bad come into Alexandria which he deals with.
Basically for me, Negan turning good guy is about the only way I'll continue watching.

That was kind of the Governor for a couple of episodes during his "The Road" phase.

What bothered me was how he walked out of his cell.
On the preview he goes back to the Sanctuary.
We already know he liked Carl, and appears to like Judith. What is he gets back and heres how much Rick tried to make the Sanctuary work, coupled with Judith in peril...then I can see the flip.

Show returns on Sunday, although the episode has already leaked online.
Meanwhile, this will be Michonne's last season as a regular. She will return for a handful of episodes in Season 10 and then presumably go off to find/join Rick.

So, anybody else watch last night? Did we see the beginning of Negan turning into one of the good guys?
And what's with Judith being out by herself all the time. Sure, she was born into and grew up in this world; however she is still just 11.
Funny thing, I had lost interest so much at the mid-season finale that my wife and I found ourselves asking each other questions all throughout.

It was kind of neat to see Negan realizing that he can't go it alone, and there is no one out there for him. I'm still not sure how he turns it around from what he has done. It's going to be a major eye roll if he just gets forgiven.
And ya, Judith just roaming around when she can barely hold the gun up, let alone have the strength to shoot something of that size...pretty silly.
Convenient how it all gets resolved before Michone gets back....who would have lost it.

I enjoyed the episode.
I have long since given up on any type of reality when it comes to rifles and pistols on TWD.
I am still not convinced that Neagan as turned. While he may have realized that The Sanctuary can't be resurrected I am not sure he has seem the light and is willing to "tow the line".

Here's the thing, he has spent more time since the start of the ZA as a prisoner than he did as a leader of the Sanctuary. He has also seen the years since Rick "died" where Alexandria has flourished and become it's own society. So it is possible he could have turned the corner. And I could see him returning on his own as showing that maybe he could be of some use.

They really did the scene well where the new guys are still out looking, they see the walker in the forest and then the walker "stops". Excellent creep factor there.

I enjoyed this episode as well. This new faction, so far, definitely has the "pretty cool" factor.
Also, seeing Negan on his knees throwing up in the exact spot where he pounded Glen and Abraham was a nice twist of fate.

I like the bond between Negan and Judith. It'll be interesting to see what happens once Michonne finds out about their friendship. No doubt she's gonna go nuts.
