Because of the toilet battle between the Rangers and Chicago?

I know its far fetched and fanciful, but I would love Toronto to go on a bit of a slide. It would be great if the team picked by the pundits to be favorites for the cup ended up missing the playoffs or got swept by tampa in the first round.

Jets goal taken off the board because it was an inch off side that had nothing to do with the goal itself.
Such a stupid system for replay on offside.

The Blues and Bruins are tied 2-2 after forty minutes.
The Islanders jumped out to a 3-0 lead and have maintained it.

'Hawks with 2 PPG, but bad defensive turnovers have them down 3-2 midway through the 3rd

So it was offside and they got it right after review?
It had loads to do with the goal.
How, in any way , do you classify the system as stupid?

There should be a time limit or SOMETHING to make the offside review better.
Oh you're half an inch offside on a play that spent 30 seconds in the zone? No goal!
Personally I think they should just remove the offside review and let the refs do their jobs, or at least, modify it in some manner.

The Kings have a 2-0 lead midway through the second period. Campbell is in net and has had to make only nine saves so far.

The Ducks look to end their slump as they lead 3-0 and Gibson looking for the shutout.

The replay review rule was brought in to correct obvious mistakes. The game had an 8 to 10 minute delay while they went frame by frame to see if it's skate was an inch or two off side. If they can't determine the play as being offside within the first minute then it's too close to matter and call on ice should stand.

And one inch is absolutely no advantage either way.
The whole point of the review is to take away unfair advantages that were missed by refs. We've strayed so far away from that now.

So the puck one inch over the line on a goal, is no big deal if missed?
A rule is a rule and if you're going make the decision to allow the review of specific said rules, it needs to be reviewed to get the correct and absolute answer, even if its half an inch offside.

Yes, we need to review every call as soon as they happen. Dump in from an inch behind the red line? No Goal! The most important thing in sports is that the rules are followed exactly to the letter each and every time.
Scrap the stupid thing.
