This game should be part of the Wednesday Night Hockey national doubleheader, the same thing happened exactly one month ago. This is an all canadian match up and there is no reason that this is a regional game.

That's twice!

Nice pylon-colour tie, Doug MacLean. The Oilers must be playing tonight.

The Senators lead 3-0 midway through the second period. That is good news for all the bottom feeders in the western conference.

Nobody seems to want to nail down those wildcard spots. Not even the last Central spot. Crazy that in the West, the bottom 10 teams are all separated by 10 points (40 to 50). Then, there's a 10 point chasm to the top 5 teams in the West (60 to 64).

Zadarov scores on a nice slapshot to get the Avalanche on the board, 3-1 Senators after forty minutes.

The Bruins and Flyers are tied 2-2 midway through the second period.

Couturier scores a power play goal from a nice rush after the Bruins chance for short handed opportunity, 3-2 Flyers.

The Senators have a 4-2 lead with just over a minute left in regulation time. The empty net goal makes it 5-2 now.

Oilers up 2-1 over the Pettersson-less Canucks, which isn't surprising. Still plenty of time for them to blow it though.

Kevin Quinn: “ McDavid who is now all alone in second place with 70 points.
Except he’s not, Gaudreau also has 70 points. Sure Quinn conveniently forgot that.

Marek speaks of disaster in Vancouver. Everyone just sick at the sight. Coverage shows McDoozy and the ref falling down after they saw each other and avoided a crash. No, we don't need to find out where to send condolences. Slight accident. Both are fine. Oh, the drama.

No kidding ref gets up fine and McDavid lays on the ice waiting for a penalty call
