We have traded forwards Jakub Lauko, Tyler Ennis, and Brendan Lemieux to the Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Phil Kessel
We feel we are buying low on Kessel and selling high on three players. We think Kessel still has good years in front of him and we're getting him for a bargain price.

A tentative look at our forward lineup moving forward:
Josh Bailey - Eric Staal - Alex Radulov
Cam Atkinson - Derick Brassard - Phil Kessel
Drake Caggiula - Victor Rask - Nic Aube-Kubel
Matt Martin - Blake Lizotte - Tobi Rieder
Aleksi Saarela/Eric Robinson
This is without summer additions, obviously. We think this is a pretty good lineup with good depth and youth.

We’ve traded goaltender Martin Jones and forwards Scott Sabourin and Jacob de la Rose to the Stars in exchange for defenseman Brendan Guhle, goaltender Cory Schneider, and two fourth-round picks.
We're pretty happy to get a guy like Guhle in this deal. Nice to get picks and we can probably re-sign Cory at a decent rate if need be.

Tricky deal from a cheese standpoint as WAS was capped out and Spurgeon has a big ticket (8M). Wanted to do it for prospects only but had to add a couple bad contract rentals in to make the cheese work. Depending what you think of the prospects, i probably overpaid.
