Default Berge-GONE ... not even Kidding.

The Toronto Maple Leafs made a huge move on Wednesday evening, shipping out longtime captain and perennial sim beast Patrice Bergeron, along with a man who certainly knows how to skate, Marcus Foligno, to Nashville in exchange for Sidney Crosby and Mike Hoffman.

The Leafs feel the move, along with an earlier deal, should help round out the top 9 and hopefully provide the juice for a playoff push.

It wasn't easy trading Bergeron, a member of the Leafs for years, and in respect of his contributions we've allowed him to approach the podium to say a few words.

<Bergeron begins to proudly ascend the stairs to the stage before tripping awkwardly into the wall and rolling back down the stairs into the media pit>

(Patrice Bergeron - left shoulder bruise - out 4-6 weeks)

The sim loves Bergeron. Now the sim loves Nashville.

Interesting that Bergeron is valued higher than Sid

78 and 69 for 76 and 73. I see a win for Toronto, although Bergeron is one of the best players in the sim and has the highest rating in this deal so I do see some pros for Nashville.

The only thing the sim loves more than Bergeron is injuring Bergeron.

That said, I'm sure he'll continue his dominance when healthy and I eagerly await Sid's inevitable broken spine.

Thanks for the deal and smooth trade talks, good luck with Crosby and Hoffman and the rest of the season.

Likewise. You are literally gonna laugh at how dominant Bergeron is whenever he gets into your lineup. It's crazy most of the time.
