This whole discussion is so premature and pointless. Even if Gaudreau has plans beyond this season, which he might not even have, there's plenty of time for him to change his mind about them. Many times over.

These articles mean very little in the grand scheme of things. What is he supposed to say? Of course he will tow the line and say this. No different than when a woman asks if she looks fat in her bikini. You say what you want the people to hear. There is nothing to be gained for Johnny by stating anything about wanting to play elsewhere.

If he plays out his contract and wants to go out back out east, good for him. Do whatever you want, its a business.
