The biggest take away from last night had nothing to do with the garbage oilers ("even a broken clock is right.... Blah blah blah"). It's how terrible the leafs are defensively and that more isn't made about how true cup contending teams can't have such dmen.

Gardiner is a train wreck defensively. The shorthanded goal from last night was just another solid example that reminded the hockey world of Gardiner's game 7 performance from last year's playoffs.

Not this year. He's a trashy 3rd liner this year!

Pleased that the Oilers had such a good win. Keeps them out of the bottom ten for the most part and gives them playoff hope. Chia needs to do something stupid to keep up his stupid streak.

Just noticed that St Louis is way closer to the wild card spot than I thought. 3 points back with a game in hand is hardly insurmountable. Looking at the wild card picture, the 4 teams tied for the second spot are probably my 4 least favourite teams in the league (Wild, Oilers, Ducks, Canucks). Would be awesome if the Blues could win a few and push all four of them out.

Except he's played on the number one PP unit a lot, and gets RNH as his centre a fair bit (eg. last night).

RNH would actually be a pretty good centre for Neal.
