We still have excellent d prospect depth after losing Fox and Hickey over the last couple of years. Valimaki, Andersson and Kylington are all close to cracking the Flames roster.

This was not easy, could have gone either way with Rasmus or Valimaki but see a higher ceiling with Valimaki, so he gets the tick in the box for me, it was close.

I'm gonna go off-the-board and take Morgan Klimchuk. I think he's the most NHL-ready and will make the team out of camp.

I have the same Ceiling for Valamaki and Anderson with Anderson being closer to reaching it so he goes ahead.

Went with Andersson because I have liked his numbers at the pro game so far I think he is a full time guy this year. Toss up between him and Valimaki

I give him a 5% chance he makes the team out of camp. Best case for him would be to become an average 3rd liner in the NHL, but I think he will most likely be a tweener.

Valamaki was an easy pick here with no 1st rounder from this past draft. I think Dube now gets my vote until he's selected.

Yeah, I usually approach these things on a basis of NHL-readiness instead of pure potential, which Valimaki has in spades. I just don't see room for him on the team whereas I think Klimchuk is an older, more seasoned version of Dube who has already had sustained professional success and who has first-round pedigree.

Morgan Klimchuk is not more NHL-ready than Rasmus Andersson.

I like Dube and Andersson but there seems to be a lot of organizational hype around Valimaki so he gets my pick.

Went Valimaki. He seems to be really liked by the team. I think coming out camp last year when they were discussing the young Dmen, Loubardious made a comment that even though he was just draft he could foresee him as the most NHL ready guy out of the lot. He probably is reading the tea leafs on how the organization slots them.
