I didn't think the Eagles would win but they totally out-coached the Falcons today. That play calling by the Falcons on the four goal to go plays was just awful. Worst thing you can do on a 4th down call is roll to one side of the field and take half the field away.

Just goes to show that as much as great QB play matters, mediocre QB play with elite defense can still win a lot of games.

I think the difference though was that Ryan was even more mediocre than Foles.

The other thing is, take that Ajayi fumble away and the special teams gaffe out of the equation and this is a route.

Wasn't a one time thing though, Falcons offense fell apart this year after losing Shanahan. No team with the running backs they have and Julio should have been as poor as they were this year.

That might be the worst play calling I've ever seen on first and goal. First down, back fade to Julio, probably the most predictable play possible. Second down, shovel pass to your 3rd string RB. Third down, throw to Julio short of the goal line. Fourth down, put your FB in the slot and cut your field in half with a roll out. WTF!

Wasn't super comfortable there but two gaffes by the Eagles made this a close game. Foles found a bit of a groove and controlled the ball for most of the second half. A nail biter but I will take it.
Unfortunately both New Orleans and Minnesota are much better football teams than Atlanta. Need the D to come up big again.

Nice catch. Should have been a flag for PI too on that play. Davis was being held. I also think Mariota has taken a couple late and low shots that could have drawn flags.
