Best Jersey in the league IMO those Carolina thirds. I’d consider buying one.

God, It would be great if the Coyotes did something like that in AZ. With these bad boys:

Hell, the Flames and the Jets should both wear their old Atlanta-era sweaters and have a REAL retro game!

Haha. The Flames v Thrashers would be fantastic as well. Oh the fun we could have. But now the other question is how long until Colorado pulls out a Nordiques jersey?

Or New Jersey whips out Colorado Rockies, or Minnesota North Stars in Dallas. These sound like good times.

Absolutely beautiful, great intro video too. These will be hard to come by when they go for sale.
I have a Coleco table hockey game, and ordered way back 15 years back, new stickers for the plastic players....Whalers in green and Flames in red.
Both teams iirc updated thier jerseys in the 90s (Hartford around 1992 to the blue and green mix) because the complaints were that the teams were too monchrome. Flames looked, according to detractors, like blood clots sskating around, while thenWhalers looked like green blobs.

Both Dallas and New Jersey have a few they could whip out...Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons, Kansas City Scouts in addition to the Rockies and North Stars.

I love those sweaters. Whalers and Nordiques are two of the best looking uni’s in hockey. And I have always been partial to the Golden Seals too.

I like the other three jerseys the whalers wore during their NHL time, but the green ones look kind of minor league to me. I think they should have stayed in the dustbin of history.

Ah, see I think they ruined a good thing when they added silver.
I can't wait until Adidas plan with the jerseys play out. It's obviously clear that 'different strokes for different folks' absolutely applies to fans of the same team, and the ability to rock a 3rd and a retro along with your primaries should make fans very happy.
Listen to the majority with your primaries
Listen to the minority, or experiment with new designs on your 3rd
Recognize history and play your current roster in nostalgic threads

That jersey is sharp but it just reminds me of the asinine series of moves Bettman orchestrated back then to pull teams out of hockey markets in Quebec, Winnipeg and Hartford for sunbelt cities.

This is news to me. What did he do? I read a story about Hartford where the owner basically stamped his feet and pulled a runner on the city after he didn't get what he wanted in an arena deal or something?
And I thought Winnipeg didn't have anyone willing to continue operating the Jets in Winnipeg?
