Racism is just discrimination base on the targets race. The race of the person doing the discrimination doesn't matter.

Not sure what studies you are reading. White cops are 5x more likely than a black cop to use force in a black neighbourhood.

I didn't state that black cops were equally at fault, just that the racism against black people exists from all cops not just white cops.
The point I was trying to make was the colour of the cops skin doesn't mean the incident wasn't racially motivated.

What studies are you talking about that say that "have also shown that the colour of the cops skin doesn't matter"? Because it seems to me that it does. No is saying that the colour of then cops skin makes his actions racially motivated, that would be ridiculous.

The issues black communities face are all quite serious and what you see with police brutality is the most visible right now. Black families tend to not be in tact, poor, and their kids go to #### schools.
I think this would be a great time to vote out an open racist and get someone in whos platform includes:
-nationwide police reform so that lethal force is the absolute last recourse. a reverse bulletproof program
-codify , some how, that each school in america that is public is funded at the same amount
-nationwide afterschool programs for children who grow up in impoverished homes
there's no easy fix, but if you want to help POC and the black community especially, it will start by ensuring their kids have an honest chance.

Amazing it’s taken this long. And that’s with video of the murder. Ridiculous.

I'm interested to see what it is because my understanding is that it's not possible to be charged as an accessory to 3rd degree murder. 2nd degree, sure, but not 3rd.

Well, there is a fix. Problem is, the people who have the power and influence don’t really want it.
The redistribution of wealth in America has been happening under both parties for several administrations.
Taxing corporations and high earners and investing in social programs has to be part of it, as well as making education and health care accessible.
Americans will of course continue to fight against that tooth and nail

It could be argued that the Trump administration has helped the black community with prison reform, saving schools, school choices, raising employment. Now you may think this is propaganda, the black vote will decide this in November.
I don't know how you can totally bulletproof the police and make it perfect. As mentioned above, the profession of police often attracts a type of personality. It's like you also can't mandate people not have babies and or force people to live together or force people to not separate. The broken families ratio of blacks is staggering but I don't know what the solution to that is. Is the solution economic? Raising the minimum wage? UBI?

I mean one could argue pretty much anything. That doesn't mean it's a successful argument.

Do any of the states have something like ASIRT in Alberta to independently investigate police incidents? I'm assuming it's a mix of yes and no. Judging by the violence that I'm seeing on video lately, independent police oversight with need very large budgets.

CNN legal conjecture, stated, potential charges of Aiding and Abetting. Are those synonymous with Accessory? I'm not sure.
Quote:
If the three officers are charged, it would likely be on charges of aiding and abetting, Honig said. The basic idea is that if you help assist, counsel, or facilitate somebody else in committing crime, then you are liable for that crime as well, he explained.

Or it might not be so hard, there is video of them assisting with subduing the suspect. How might they convincingly argue being unaware of exactly what was happening and the reasonably foreseeable consequences?
Didn’t hear the guy saying he can’t breathe? Didn’t hear him begging not to be killed? Didn’t hear the bystanders yelling at them that he was going to be killed?
I expect a lot of “I don’t recall” would be in the defense, but the videos are pretty damning
They had to be aware of what Chauvin was doing, and were clearly enabling it
