Novak has done a lot of good things lately, but this in my opinion is a misstep. His words carry a lot of weight and not just in the tennis world. I hope he changes his mind regarding his thoughts on vaccination.

Well said. He is normally a great ambassador for the sport and has recently donated around $3 million to fighting Covid. Some people were speculating that perhaps what he meant was that he doesn't want to take a rushed vaccine before their is evidence that it is safe, but again I will wait until he clarifies his words.

Novak is very opinionated and no filter. He doesn't believe in vaccinations. He does not think he's a role model.

Today is the anniversary of when Monica Seles was attached on court and stabbed. I remember hearing about that, but I was too young to know how dominate she was. Looking at her results she was absolutely amazing, winning a grand slam at 16 then won 3 more the next year, 3 more the year after that and then won the AO. After the attack she missed the next 10 grand slam events before returning to make the finals of the US Open and winning the AO. She had 8 Grand Slam titles as a teenager!! What an incredible player, had this not occurred we maybe talking about her as the GOAT of women's tennis.

If you have a chance to read her autobiography, I highly recommend it.

Seles was so good that a crazed Steffi Graf fan took matters into his own hands in Hamburg on that fateful day. It's interesting because Steffi was a heck of a player who retired from the game pretty early and likely could have won a few more Grand Slams. The other side of that coin is would she have won as many Slams as she did if Seles hadn't been out of commission for as long as she was (and wasn't the same player when she returned).

I got freaky Seles flashbacks when that one guy interrupted Roger’s 2009 FO final. That hat he put on Fed could easily have been a knife too.

Ya tennis needs better security the players are so exposed. Remember that one time a guy jumped on court and kissed Nadal or that idiot who brought a flare onto the court of the French Open final between Nadal and Ferrer..

The answer to that is a very clear no. For my money, without the stabbing, you take Seles's slam total and double it.

Dumbest match idea ever... in theory, but also in execution, as the "grass" side was actually carpet.

If Fed's on the grass, his attack is blunted because his serve/forehand slow down when they hit the clay. if he's on the clay, he has to defend against high bounces and can't move as well. it's a weird setup that I've always thought is a disadvantage for him no matter what.
