Samesies.

After watching Ant-Man I decided not to pick and choose which MCU movies I saw anymore. The only choice was see them in theatre or at home. Theatre won out until pandemic. I think we'll wait for general release on Disney+ to see Black Widow though.

I hear you, but this is more like an Ant Man prequel.

We’ll probably go see it as I’m confident it will be entertaining. Haven’t been to a theatre since seeing Tenet when we had it entirely to ourselves.

Pretty good policy.

I will generally only go to theatres for major tent-pole movies or ones that I'm very seriously interested in.

The rest? I can wait. I have a decent home theatre setup.

If Disney continues their policy of putting new releases on Disney+ 3 months after the film is released in theatres, it's going to be tough to decide something is worth actually going to the theatre to watch.

I agree. New Star Wars movies would be on my list. Infinity War/End Game level Marvel movies as well. Big sci-fi spectacle movies like Jurassic Parks or Godzillas are fun in the theatre.

That said, I will be seeing Black Widow in the theatre. I'm taking my kids and we've missed going to the theatre the past year.

I can't let Sonic the Hedgehog be the last movie I saw in a theatre.

I liked Black Widow, thought it was a solid entry in the MCU. Not my favorite but certainly not my least favorite.

Did the movie feel out of place with the Disney + shows that have come out over the last 6 months? I have heard this rumor. Trying to convince the wife to go see it this weekend.

No, It fits well in the Captain America Non-Cosmic world

It’s a good spy movie. In the Bond/Bourne/MI genre.

Looks like Black Widow sets up the Hawkeye series on Disney +

It was a decent film, but doesn't really feel necessary for the MCU overall story line.

edit: Also I guess watching Scar Jo in a tight fitting combat suit for close to two hours is a plus.

Agreed, I thought it was pretty solid. Good action and characters, and I enjoyed the story. David Harbour was great.

Spoiler!

It as good but it just felt like a movie done out of obligation then to actually add any meaningful story to the universe. I know it was supposed to come out a year ago but at this point with al the shows pushing forward I think we’re ready for the next story of the movies to move forward as well.

BW was much better than I expected. Florence Pugh really steals the show as Yelena.

Well James Gunn is usually pretty reliable and he has a solid track record of making people care and be entertained about a group of characters nobody knows.

Yep, looks basically like an r rated version of guardians 1

I cant wait, wonder if its gonna be on crave opening day or the on demand ppv premium or whatever

Which reminds me, we are getting so badly screwed out of whatever deal hbo and crave made. I think we've only gotten 1 or 2 of their movie releases day and date

If he can breathe some life into the DCEU then I'm all for it.
