Default 3D Heritage Classic
I really want to see the game in 3D after buying a 3D TV a few weeks ago. I will however be attending the game so I plan on recording the HC on my shaw pvr. Question I was wondering however is if it will show up in 3D in the recording? I'm not exactly sure how broadcast 3d TV works, can anyone fill me in?

Doesn't it have to be broadcast in 3d?

It is being broadcasted in 3D I believe. At-least I recall seeing a commercial a week ago and they did mention it would be in 3D.

As long as you are recording the 3D channel, and not the usual HD one, I can't see why it wouldn't work.

I need to check out hockey in 3D sometime.

So will the 3D be on a separate channel? It must be, because watching 3d without the glasses is horrendous.

The 3D broadcast has its own channel. I've seen it a few times on Optik. Not sure what it is on Bell. No idea about Shaw.

I've seen the 3D channel at my dad's on his Optik receiver. Don't recall seeing on my Shaw receiver.

found this link. It shows what channels for each cable provider will be showing 3D.

I pvr'd the first two games that were broadcasted in 3D on bell expressvu, works fine for 3D playback.

Broadcast is half-res side-by-side. Simply record it on your PVR, and set your TV to the appropriate input mode when playing it back. It will work - I've done it with The Masters and with the World Cup - and I have to play it back through my computer because my TV is a 2008 model.

i think i just don't know how to work it, no ads come up in the menu or guide anywhere.
