How long ago was this? I thought it was AHS wide. Because that sounds more liek the old system Calgary had.

Is it just me or are the articles on the Calgary Herald's website all showing odd video clips under the title of unrelated things?

For example, the article about the northern lights phenomen, "Steve" has a video about Steve Carrell.

https://calgaryherald.com/entertainm...hers-and-steve

And the one about a Japanese-Canadian play about internment camps has a video about the poster for the Han Solo movie.

That’s basically CNNs website now. They must assume people don’t like to read anymore. CTV is probably worse than CNN.

I can understand the charging for parking at hospitals and medical clinics. However I wish it was pay on exit instead of entry, since in most cases you have no idea how long you'll be there.

It is.

At least the last few times I've been to the Hospital at the SHC and Foothills.

Hospital parkades went to pre-payment on Jan 1, iirc.

Really? Thats terribly stupid.

It was bad, then it got better and then they consciously decided to make it worse again?

Man, I complain about Government organizations from time to time but thats just stupid.

You have to guess how long you'll be there? Yeah, I can see how that would be profitable.

Why do people think it's acceptable to keep their dogs outside in the backyard barking for hours?

I can ask my neighbours. They seem to subscribe to this philosophy.

The mat at the front entrance is for your shoes. Do not step on it with your socks or bare feet, subsequently dragging dirt onto my clean floors.

I feel too awkward to say anything when guests do this, but shouldn't it be common sense? So annoying.

I'm sure they don't give it much thought as I really hadn't until your post. I mean, obviously if it is filthy and in winter it definitely is way more messy most would avoid that but otherwise, to me that's a few levels up from my care factor about cleanliness.

Plugged nostril is a gear grinder for me.

I've seen a few of what are clearly Christmas puppies doing that.

Yikes. How long before they're put up for adoption because the owners can't deal with it?

I've been lucky enough not to have to be at a hospital for any reason since last summer. I'm just going by the news reports.

I’ve never thought of this.

Sliver will be your best check if this is common sense or just you as I believe he gets annoyed when a guest touches a wall with their hand while putting on or removing foot ware.

Yes, hands on walls is the trashiest move that drives me nuts.

I've never thought about the entrance mat thing, either. If mine gets dirty, I vacuum it. The dirt should sink into the bottom of the carpet, anyway, so it's not like it's up on the surface waiting to stick to your socks to track around. I mean, that's why you use a piece of carpet for an entrance mat versus just tile or a hard plastic mat. Imo, gear grinder denied.
