Icon48 Predict the outcome of the play-in series
As most of us know there are eight play-in series scheduled for this summer to determine which teams make the playoffs. They are all five-game series.

Edmonton vs Chicago
Vancouver vs Minnesota
Nashville vs Arizona
Calgary vs Winnipeg

Pittsburgh vs Montreal
Carolina vs NY Rangers
NY Islanders vs Florida
Toronto vs Columbus

Who do you have taking these series? I'll send a McDonald's gift card to whoever gets the closest.

I'll play:

Edmonton vs Chicago
Oilers in 4. I think McDavid & Drai trump Kane & Toews, while at this point in their careers I would rather have Smith than Crawford. The Hawks may even have a worse defense than the Oilers too.

Vancouver vs Minnesota
Canucks in 4. Markstrom alone will win this series for the Canucks.

Nashville vs Arizona
Coyotes in 5. A healthy goaltending duo of Kuemper and Raanta should be terrifying for anyone that faces the Coyotes.

Calgary vs Winnipeg
Flames in 5. I think talk of Winnipeg's offense being better is blown out of proportion, with two of our best offensive players having an off-year we are in the same ballpark in GF as them and since our coaching change, we've been better. Our defense is vastly better and deeper and while Hellebyuck had a great year this break could stunt his momentum and it has gotten Rittich healthy.

Pittsburgh vs Montreal
Habs in 5. Carey Price, that is all.

Carolina vs NY Rangers
Hurricanes in 5. I think the Hurricanes are simply the better team but The Rangers young goalies could make this closer than it should be.

NY Islanders vs Florida
Islanders in 4. Panthers can't keep the puck out of their own net.

Toronto vs Columbus
Leafs in 5. I think Elvis makes it difficult for the Leafs, but the Leafs offense is a little too much for Elvis while Andersen is strong enough to stop the BJs mediocre (at best) offense.
