You're going to hate me......
Played another round, this time it was 18 holes in 2 hours and 5 minutes. Groups were moving at a great pace and I didn't have to wait on the tee box or the fairway. Hope that pace continues for the rest of lockdown
Beer cart shows up at the 8th hole and the girl driving said she's never seen a more depressed group of golfers than she did today. Told her everyone is not happy with new rules and miss playing with their buddies.

Wife and I played 9 holes in an hour and 20 minutes walking. Never caught the single in front of us but we’re being pushed a bit by the twosomes behind us. Overall the course was pretty dead. Also shot a personal best 42 for that 9 so it was a good day.

An update on the Covid case from my golf club.... Some good news
Quote:
After the positive Covid case in the Clubhouse last week we took several safety precautions. We closed the Clubhouse for Sunday and Monday while employees who were in close contact were tested. We are pleased to report that everyone who was in close contact has tested negative, and will be in quarantine for 14 days as a precaution, and to ensure everyone's safety. Some employees who were not considered in close contact also tested as a safety precaution and have reported negative test results.
The Clubhouse was professionally cleaned on Monday by Picture Perfect Cleaners to ensure everyone's safety before we re-opened.
We would also like to thank everyone for their patience, support and kind words during this time. We are happy to report that the employee who was sick is not serouosly ill, and is recovering at home.

We’re just 2 and plan to walk. It’s cart path only anyway.

We’ve got 36 booked at Kananaskis later this month. I’m one of the walkers and that’s going to be a long one.
My game is just horrible this year. I’m not sure what’s going on; maybe I’m more by the book, but I really think that for some reason I’m just struggling overall. My drives aren’t great. I’m inconsistent with irons and my short game can be good or a train wreck depending on the hole. Usually I feel like one part is bailing me out!

Honestly for the second 18 if it’s anything like last year just tell them you’re a cohort and share a cart. Or toss your bag on at the second tee.

You can put your bag on the cart if you are walking. You just can't ride.

They changed that rule this week though. Originally they said you could do that, but this week they said you can’t. I’ll bring my pull cart and tough it out unless the rules change. I do prefer walking, but not 36, lol.

Golfed with my son yesterday and tee'd off at 5:30, finished the round in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Even though the restrictions suck, the pace of play is a positive.
Really shi!tty situation and for the life of me I can't comprehend these restrictions, I'm so done with this crap...

Covid golf is awesome. The pace of play is great. 80-90 minutes for 9 holes - yes please.
Twosomes and no rakes in bunkers? It should stay that way forever.
And I don't have to shake anyone's disgusting hand at the end of it all. I hope that never comes back.

Don't you just wipe your hands on your jeans afterwards anyways?

Today was the slowest round of the week as it took me 3 hours to finish 18. Still the weather was great and no wind to speak of.

Played mount Kidd today. Course was in great shape for this time of year but the greens were an utter embarrassment. Haven’t been mowed or rolled in forever. Also were punched recently.
Shot an 89 and the weather was fantastic and we saw some avalanches so all in all a great day.

Played 9 holes at Sirroco for the first time today as only members can play 18.
Was ok, not really impressive.
