I feel like this series is going to be a lot closer than people think. And not because I am confident in the Caps, but because I have serious doubts about the Rangers.


I say Rangers in 6, but I would not be shocked by an upset here.

It might be closer than we think... they split the season series 2/2 with the same goals for/against (9-9). I still think the Rangers win, but I agree with those that say the playoffs are weird, and there's always one series that doesn't seem very straightforward.

The Rangers just don't give off "best team in the league" vibes.

Yeah, the Rangers are +1 at 5v5 this season.

Last year Boston was like +80.
Florida was like +40.
Colorado was +40ish.

Pretty weird to see a President trophy winning team with such pedestrian 5v5 stats.

That's interesting but looking at that Capitals roster I just don't see it. Lindgren has been good but not elite which it would take and it's just tough to picture a team that was led in scoring by Dylan Strome going far in the playoffs.
