4-3 Flames in the shootout.

Momentum slowly starts to build and we creep over .500

Got to be exciting for Taylor at the very least. Had quite the journey - ECHL, AHL, NHL, Germany and now getting his first start.

Good luck Danny-boy.

Back-to-back road game. Going back to Calgary after the game. New goalie. Check, check, check. Classic mail-in effort from the boys tonight will make for a tough one for Taylor.

Hope I'm wrong.

Or maybe he doesn't want to start his goaltenders on back to back nights. Hartley and Feaster have stated they want to see what their goalies can do. Taylor was one of the best goalies in the AHL this season and this seems like a good spot to start him. It's on the road in an arena with lots of visiting fans. There was no point in bringing him up if they weren't going to play him. With the breaks between games, he might not have played again until Sunday, February 24th at home, which coincidentally is also against Phoenix. This is rewarding a player for his work in the minors, not a jump off the deep end.

With back to backers yesterday/today, then just 2 in the next 5 days, but the next weekend-week is even more games (Saturday/Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday) so you better know what you have in Taylor or whatever second goalie you're going to use.

I don't see any other goalie in the system other then a healthy Kipper playing more than 2 of those 4 games in 6 night stretch.

Jagr completely missed. McDonald didn't touch it.

I wouldnt look into it that much.

MacDonald is a 33 year old, oft-injured goalie and most teams alternate starter/backup on back-to-backs when they have at least some half-assed confidence in their backup and have a team that actually plays for their backup goaltender.

That said, this is a good game for Taylor to play, the Coyotes arent an offensive juggernaut by any means so its unlikely that hes going to get lit up.

Can someone who watches the Heat comment on Taylor? Is he a butterfly guy? Weaknesses?

PMM you've been requested.

His numbers certainly look very good.

Back to back on the road does NOT engender confidence in this team yet. But I will say that if the Flames manage to get one point out of tonight that'll be 3 of 4 on the back to back and I would be happy with that. I prefer the full 4 of 4, but realistically I will take 3.

I expect a 6-3 loss back to back games aren't kind to the Flames.

Flames are gonna take it tonight. Even with taylor in I'm sticking with my 5-1 prediction. Please let Staj play with Iggy tonight though!
