Lucic has already publicly said he's thought about quitting. Usually when a pro athlete starts musing about that aloud they've got one foot out the door.

While it sounds like Peters wasn't easy to get along with for some players it's not like he made Lucic a healthy scratch. You have to wonder how he's going to handle being a scratch as that's an inevitability over the course of the deal and I would imagine will happen as early as next season.

Sounds like he was frustrated by the lack of communication, not the benching. Seems fair.

This makes sense to me, but I still question whether Bogosian is an upgrade over any of Stone, Davidson, or even Yelesin. He's pretty bad these days and he doesn't get around the ice very well anymore. I get picking up a depth option who's at least very experienced in the NHL.

Playoffs? He's barely stayed healthy enough to string 2 games together.

I'm going to retire because my coach isn't communicating well? Seems a little extreme no especially given that Peters coached him for less than two months.

Could be true, but tough to gauge talent of a player who plays on that awful team. Hell, Scandella more than doubled his value from 4th rounder to 2nd rounder after leaving.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Assuming Bogosian clears unconditional waivers today, I expect he will wait until Monday to decide where he wants to play for the remainder of the season. Toronto, Pittsburgh, Carolina and Winnipeg are among the strong contenders.

Of note, Bogosian has to sign before the trade deadline to be eligible to play in the playoffs

No strong feelings at all on this one if it were to happen. Free depth is good, beats spending a 4th like we did on Fantenberg

Pass. Guy was healthy scratched in Buffalo, that tells you something.

No issue grabbing a veteran for depth. I get the feeling Treliving is sending out a Dman for a forward in the next 48 hours

Usually but not always. Schultz was a bust in Edmonton, O'Reilly went from mediocre to one of the top forwards in the game when he left.

I'm not expecting a meteoric rise from Bogosian, but what happens on a perennial terrible team does not usually tell the whole truth.

Exactly.

Hanifin for a Domi, Trochek....
Get Gio back.
Move Brodie to the left.

Gio - Andersson
Brodie - Stone
Kylington - Bogo

Then when Hammer comes back:

Gio - Andersson
Brodie - Hammer
Kylington - Stone/Bogo

Fun fact: Bogosian has a secret twin, and when you sign him, you get the other one free!

I'm pretty sure they were scratching Bogosian because it's 50/50 in any one game that he'll get injured, and they wanted to get out of the contract this year somehow.

I'm fine with it. Free depth. If Tre signs him then I hope he goes and gets a winger.

We don't need to be trading anything to get a stop gap until Giordano is back. Pretty unnecesssry.

And we know already that he doesn't work well with Hamonic either
