Can you imagine if it was Tkachuk doing that at the end of the game?

Some really questionable deployment decisions by Ward in this one. They found a way to lose.

Good job boys, maybe show up in the first ####ing period! I really wish we would have either changed the core of the team or changed the coach. Needed to do one or the other.

In spirit, maybe but not really. We tied it up FFS.

We lose it when Valimaki got rid of the puck too early while Lucic wasn't at his defensive position along the boards and Backlund was too late yet again to his man, the goal scorer.

Bull####. The team came back and tied it up. The game was lost in the third period by a brain dead coaching decision to put Lucic-Backlund-Bennett out against Matthews and Marner on back-to-back shifts. Terrible matchup that cost the team the game.

My point being...they were not ready to win at he start of the game.

ONE shot in the first period?

Embarrassing individual preparation by the players!

####ing useless #######.
Lucic with 3 shifts in the last 5 minutes. Should have been 0 shifts in the last 20 minutes.

The line matching was bad, but the momentum shift had already taken place. The Flames eased up after tying the game and Toronto pushed back. Then, only after going down again, the Flames resumed pressure. They needed to continue to elevate the intensity for a win.

Toronto played the road game they needed to play.
