Fantastic win over a very good NYI team...

Wasn't a fan of the first goal by Smith and the second was a terrible blown coverage... but Smith made a number of great saves the rest of the game.

Czarnik looking like the player calgary was hoping for when they signed him... Add the Ryan/Mangiapane/Hathaway line to that and suddenly the bottom 6 are dangerous...

if Neal doesn't recover his one timer, Czarnik is going to stay in the lineup for a while because he's better in every other facet... and i like Neal

Too bad the NHL doesn't track actual time of possession. Flames might have set a record tonight.

Who was good tonight: Everyone.
Who had poor games: Nobody.

Everyone showed up tonight and played hard. Hathaway, Bennett, Backlund and Hamonic stood out the most to me. However, everyone had a solid game. Great to see.

I don't know what kind of voodoo Austin Czarnik is channeling but Neal gets injured on a nothing play and now Czarnik is scoring goals every game. I'm scared.

Great game by most everybody! Flames played steady and Islanders didn’t play the most inspired hockey.

I feel I miss Lindholm on the 1st line. I think he just adds a dynamic to the 1st line. Tkachuk isn’t having much luck offensively right now, and I think Backlund and Tkachuk are fairly complimentary together. Lindholm is just such a skilled player, he is so good in every area, I can’t believe how well that trade has worked out.

Anybody know Backlunds stats over the past 20 games? Feel he has been playing well.

Random thought, for home team wins, what if the 3rd star was always left to the player on the other team who contributed the most to the win? Ie. Today I would've given it to Barzal for his invisibility outside of a couple great giveaways. That would make me stay for the 3 stars lol.

Great game regardless, dominated most of the game, a few lapses led to the goals but Smith stopped the ones he had to. Now to turn around and cheer for the Isles!

Winnipeg sucks at both hockey and football. They also suck at weather and just existing in general.

Great game by Smith, he absolutely shut down the Isles forcheck with his awesome puck handling. Best Flames game of the season against a tough opponent. Very impressive.

Game had a bit of a playoff vibe. Great game by the good guys. 4 goals against Trotz - not bad.

This is the biggest benefit of his stickhandling. It's not that he makes long passes. It's that you can't dump it in on him - you just end up trapping a forward or having to play back.

Maybe that idiot Byfuglien can give Laine the middle finger.

Czarnik keeps this up and we won't need a TDL acquisition. But we should beef up anyways.

Islanders were lucky as heck to be in the game at all amazing effort by the Flames. Concerned about Gaudreau is he injured? Can't seem to get any power behind his passes but then he blisters a slap shot?
