Canadiens Montréal @CanadiensMTL

I can see Kulak getting called up to the big club there, that team is putrid.

Good for Kulak. He deserves to a chance elsewhere. Anyone know anything on the two guys coming back?

LOL. I've heard of Valiev -- he's an unspectacular AHL defenseman. Taormina is old and purely depth for the farm.

A draft pick would have been nice, but it looks like it's two AHL fillers

Taormina looks like a career AHLer. Depth for the Heat I presume.
Valiev is a little younger and saw a couple NHL games last year. Will also likely go right to the Heat.

Kulak for two career tweeners. I would have preferred a late pick, still, it is the Honorable thing to do for Kulaks career.

I have a feeling Kulak wanted out. Knew his time was up here with Jusso and Rasmus leapfrogging him on the depth chart.
Hopefully he can carve out a career in Montreal. All the best.

Makes sense though. Flames need them since Valimaki and Andersson up in the big club and Wotherspoon gone

Nothing more than giving Kulak a shot somewhere else after being passed by 3 young guys on the depth chart. Good luck Kulak.

Taormina is 31 years old - likely a career AHLer.
Valiev is 23 and played 2 games with the big club last season.

Valiev + Rychel + a 2nd was the return the Habs got for trading Plekanec to the Leafs.
Now both Valiev and Rychel are in the Flames AHL system.
