The man is coming around. He's been a force the last three games. What we're seeing right now is exactly what we've been looking for the last few seasons. Exciting stuff!
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
If you hold on
Can you hold on
Hold on baby
Won't you tell me now
Hold on for one more day 'cause
It's gonna go your way

I think Gully had Bennett under a microscope for so long that he was second guessing himself.
Under Peters it seems he can just go play his game.... Also its nice that Peters can see who's working on a line and demoted the players not meshing.
I liked Frolik in the past but this year he has not been there and under Gully you would have never seen him on the 4th line

He finally has the strength to play the type of game he wants to.
Loved seeing Bennett and Neal together last night. The sight of them both crashing the goal after Bennett scored was awesome. Also great to see Peters had them both out with 2 minutes left when Neal made that ridiculous stretch and kick to stay onside

Bennett didn't spend much time with Stajan. Some with Brouwer, but way more with Jankowski.
Wasn’t Brouwer stapled to his wing in 16/17 for most of the season? He also started the year last season on Sam’s wing but after 15 games they decided to put him on the wing and he spent the majority of his time with Jankowski and Hathaway.
I was a huge detractor from trading Brodie and Bennett last summer because I truly felt like Gulutzan was ruining both of them. The sample size is too small to say that was correct but definitely trending in that direction as both Brodie and Bennett look much better this year.

16/17
204 minutes with Brouwer and Versteeg
130 min with Gaudreau and Chiasson
119 min with Versteeg and Chiasson
73 min with Stajan and Chiasson
51 min with Versteeg and Ferland
lucic is just a boat anchor though. doesn't change your point in any way, but he sucks.
For sure but he was acquired to be a top line or top six forward in Edmonton when Hall got traded. So his time with Draisaitl was intended to give the kid someone to play with.

Yeah, I was mostly thinking of Stajan - I couldn't recall Bennett ever spending significant time with him. I knew that he had Brouwer for a good part of two seasons ago. He was also playing C that year, FWIW.
Bennett has played pretty much his whole time on the third line other than his time with Backlund. That includes this year. It's just that the third line has better quality than before.
