So I found this pretty interesting to see this morning. I wonder how often this happens. I love how they play it off like no big deal and part of being teammates.
The coach saying something about being brothers, brothers will do this every once in a while. If we saw Gio and anyone on the team doing this would we be concerned?

It depends what it was about I guess. One off incident where someone got POd, no big deal. Or maybe they've grown to dislike each other. With Phaneuf there were long simmering disagreements with Reg, for example.
It happens more then you'd think, usually though it doesn't happen on the ice, but in the locker room away from cameras.
There are factions in locker rooms no matter how close teams are or seem to be. There are tussles, arguments and knife fights. Usually though when these things break out on the ice, its pretty spur of the moment.

Yeah Reg got into a pushing match with Phanuef.
Apparently Iggy also smacked around Phanuef pretty bad once.

lol, funny how off ice antics become a thing in the dressing room. Wasn't there something with Nurse and Drai a couple years ago with Nurse's sister or something...I can't remember exactly the story.
I am sad that those refs stopped that fight from happening between Iggy and Phaneuf. Damn.

This happens on my beer league team several times a season. I guarantee it happens on professional sports teams a lot. A lot of these guys aren't even friends; they are individual professional enterprises worth 10s of millions.

Toews and Keith have played together for 13 years now, won 3 cups together, not really the guys you'd expect would still be fighting on the ice in public.
My brother in-law sat behind Keith on a plane 5+ years ago and Keith was on a phone call complaining about Toews for 2-3 minutes non stop about how he had just bought the exact same car as him. Colour, specs, everything to the last detail. Apparently actually angry about the situation.

What a weird complaint. Unless Keith bought a custom, one-of-a-kind car then lots of people are going to buy the same car as him.
If anything someone buying the exact same car as you should be a compliment to your taste....or you're both idiots. One or the other.
