I just did this last week. With a giant mirror.
Basically, you're going to wreck the drywall. But maybe to a point where it's repairable.
First, ductape a grid pattern, so that if it does shatter it kid of holds it together. Second, get a whole bunch of shims, a hammer and some good gloves. Probably some eye protection too. Very carefully take your time working the shims in all around the mirror, gently pulling it as you go. Main thing is patience. I did one last year, got impatient, pulled too hard on a corner and it shattered everywhere. This one, I took my time and it actually came off quite well. Still took chunks of drywall though.
I think the clips just support the weight of it rather than relying on glue on drywall. They're the least of your concern, but it's good to know they are there before pulling from the bottom.
Also that's a builder's special I'm pretty sure. I don't think the previous owner would have done that.

Does anybody know of a resource where I can ask some plumbing questions? I guess I can say I'm fairly adequate at plumbing, understand slope, venting, sizing requirements.
Remodeling my ensuite, basically the toilet and shower are swapping spots. Now that i've got the floor opened up, I can see what I want to do, but the way its currently plumbed, I'm not too sure what I can get away with.
I applied for a permit, waiting on approval. I don't know if the inpectors are available for questions or how that all works.

Cool combination machine. What kind is it? The paint color and the jointer fence make it look like a Hammer, but the rip fence and rail looks more like an SCM/Minimax.

What is "in" these days in terms of window coverings? I've never gone blinds or window shopping in my life and now I have a whole home to do. Any cool features I should look for or stay away from?
The only thing I know is hate those cheapy aluminum blinds.

Thanks for the photos... that's going to be a fair bit of weight on the legs. From our own pergola experience the wind can really grab the top slats and impart a horizontal load at the top. Be sure you have sufficient support on the vertical members both at the ground and where they intersect the corner braces.

The design of the original tent canopy, with THREE sets of side walls, still weighed a significant amount, and almost certainly would have taken more wind load.
Absolutely something to watch, though, yes.
