What is the point of holding onto Marc Savard. Flames would be in an entirely different position if they had even a mid pack PP.
Fire him and get someone else to try for the stretch run.
Like, are we worried about hurting his feelings?

If they do fire him it definitely won’t be until after the season is over.

But why. 30th ranked PP can only get better. If you are really trying to make the playoffs how can you not look at the PP and see it as your team's biggest failing.

I’m sure they realize that making the playoffs is going to be extremely challenging at this point. There is also contract status and I’m not sure what the term is but they could potentially have to pay him out. If they do decide to part ways then there could be more candidates available in the offseason when teams analyze what went wrong.
