I'm amazed how Lindholm has moved from wing to centre yet it feels like our depth has grown down the right side. I wasn't sure about the moves Tre made this summer, but after the first few games, and the lines we're seeing, all doubt is being washed away

Yeah, Dube has taken a big step. He doesn't replace Lindholm but Dube, Mangiapane, Leivo, Simon solidifies the right side.

And Lindholm significantly improves the C position.

Unfortunately for Dube EatBread could take this opportunity and run with it while he is out slotting Dube in with Backlund which I don't mind actually.

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Dillon Dube (lower body) remains day-to-day per head coach Geoff Ward. Says there’s a chance he could play tomorrow.

“We’ll see how it is in the morning. We’ll take it from there.” #Flames

Glad Simon is with 13 and 23. I feel he’s more of a complement to their style of play than Leivo is

I doubt it. I think he goes right back up to the top line as soon as he is back. I didn't think Mangiapane had as strong a game on Monday as he did Saturday, and the line adjustment from Dube's injury was probably a contributing factor to that.

Glad to hear that Dube is a 'maybe' for tomorrow. So we know he's close and it won't be long, even if he can't go tomorrow.

And yeah, I would imagine that he goes right back to Lindholm's line when he returns.

Good that he's day-to-day and not on IR.
But if he hasn't even practiced I doubt there's even a chance he plays tomorrow.

The way Dube and Mangiapane have developed has given this team so much top end talent. They are both bonafide top 6ers or at least have been to start this season.

I like our top 9 compared to any other team in our division. We have the depth like Montreal but with more high end talent.

Combine that with a deep talented defence core and a Vezina calibre goalie, I have high hopes for this team this year.

It would be such a relief to see either sign both to a value 6 year deal!

Or both I guess

Maybe I missed stuff but I didn't notice a ton of Dube the first games. He had a goal. Not sure I see the "took a big step this season" narrative yet. Sorry he's hurt though.

Yea I saw that but don't put too much stock into that comment.
The guy hasn't even skated and he's going to play tomorrow?

Watch the end of this video, reading between the lines, he won't play.

There was nothing to read between the lines there. He couldn't practice today, but they will see how he is tomorrow.

He's 22. 5 days off isn't going to slow him down.
