Astros threatening to blow this game open in the bottom of the first.

Already 2 zip with one out and the bases loaded.

Nationals knocking at the door. Pretty impressive play by Correa to keep it 2-0

Nice to see Chapman and Hader honoured during the break there. Ones a homophobic racist and the other beats his wife. Good call MLB.

Martinez hasn’t used his two best relievers since game 1. Having Rodney pitch to Brantley and Bregman cost them any shot at winning that game. They have now lost home field advantage while Doolittle and Hudson have pitched once in the series after an extended break.

It’s the World Series. You have to go down with your best guys. Martinez is pretty much all in with trying to win with his two aces in the next two games now.

So does Scherzer get to 130 pitches tonight?

I think they will want to keep the number down in case they need him in a game 7. If he throws more than 7 innings tonight its because the pitch count is down and he's not being touched.

Well maybe Doolittle and Hudson make up for their light workload tonight. Huge Astros fan here but that is a brutal break for the Nationals. It doesn’t make me happy.

I am really hoping the Stros win tonight. My guy surprised me today with tickets to Tuesday night's game here in Houston. Would be very cool to be at Minute Maid on the night of the big win for the title (no jinxing!)

Correa should have been out on the slider. Instead another terrible strike zone and this game is looking done.

Umpire strike zones have been terrible this WS.

And I want the Astros to win!

Yikes, this is brutal. At least that Zimmerman ball 4 was the same pitch that Correa didn't strik out on. Garbage both ways.

ETA to be fair Cole should have struck out Zimmerman so the #### pitch he called strike 3 on Robles is justice. Problem is Correa smoked a 2 run HR on this terrible ump's strike zone.

Agreed. Horribly inconsistent strike zones. Not affecting the outcome IMO as Nationals have scored 3 runs in 3 games and you're not walking your way to more runs. But still those are some bad calls.

Baseball's on field officials are a little different. In a game played by athletes, maybe it should be officiated by athletes.

So Martinez says before the game that he is positive that Scherzer will be available for game 7.

Maybe just bravado as that would be more Gibsonesque than Gibson. Today the guy couldn't dress himself.

Hopefully Strasburg can help the Nats beat Verlander in game 6 and force a game 7.

If Scherzer can go and be Scherzer, then the advantage goes back to the Nats IMO.

Either way it will be high drama and very exciting.

It's been a dreadfully boring World Series so far, so much so this was clearly the most exciting thing to happen the entire series.

While I haven't found it boring at all, the lack of offense at the right time has been frustrating. So - are people on here now still thinking the initial call on the Astros odds of winning, were bad? I think Houston is unfortunately going to take it tomorrow.
