Wranglers beat Coachella Valley, 3-1 on the strength of Rory Kerins' hattrick, earning him first star honors. Kerins sits atop the AHL scoring race (first in goals) with 3gp/5g/1a/6pts,+3, 0 PIM.
Cooley was second star, stopping 39 of 40 shots. 2-1-0-0, 2.62 GAA, .928 SV%.
The assists were Hunt (2), Frk, and Pelletier.

Kerins just cant stop scoring. This kid has gone from ECHL middle six to AHL stud with only one season in between. Actually crazy, hope he can keep this up.

I wonder if Rory Kerins’ case is similar to Rasmus Andersson’s insofar that his pro career was floundering until he started to take fitness and nutrition seriously. Conroy has sort of inferred that Kerins came into this years camp in better shape.

While I dont see him reaching those heights, he definitely got a message/messages from somene/somewhere after his first pro year that he needed to change something up.
Hopefully he can keep it up!
