That's because you're a sports guy, though. I ignore literally every piece of sports news in the world because IDAF about a single pro sport. It's just noise and pointless to me.
Taylor Swift - while I'm not a fan and couldn't name one song - is the biggest thing right now and her live show is apparently one of the best ever on the whole planet. Plus she's young, cute and as famous as it gets. It's celebrity news, but I guess mixed with sports news? IDK, but her being at a game - to me - is more noteworthy than the game itself. Was it football or baseball she was watching? I don't even know or care, but I'm mildly interested that her BF is a pro athlete for some reason.

I don’t care about Taylor Swift or the NFL. However, I’ll glance at a news clip or watch a video such as the video of her entering the stadium yesterday with her entourage. I like that Taylor’s fandom and efforts to get young people voting drives MAGAs crazy. That I’m interested in.

I find Travis Kelce infinitely more annoying than Swift so anything that takes the camera off him is fine with me.

It drives engagement with a relatively untapped market. If Taylor Swift being at a football game makes any kind of significant in-roads with getting 16-30 year old women to tune in (for whatever reason) you bet your ass they'll be all over pushing it. Add in that it's the league's darling favorite team right now? You'll never heard the end of it.

Remember how much the NHL pushed Carrie Underwood with Preds games? Especially when they were a contender. And she was never anything remotely close to Taylor Swift.
Travis and Jason's podcast mailbag now is apparently them just explaining basic football terms to Swifties.

There was nearly a 400% spike in Travis Kelce jersey sales following last Sunday's game, as Chiefs Kingdom has welcomed Swifties with open arms.
Swift's popularity is incomparable from the perspective of NFL fans.

And the NFL is on the verge of folding, so very little bit helps.

The Federal Government Civil Service and their huge delays in obtaining basic services GMG. My PAL (firearms permit) expires in a few days. I had heard they had a backlog due to the Covid shutdown and restart of some services so I applied for my renewal early - 5 months ago to be exact. Checked my application status - 'you application has been received'. How on God's green earth can it take nearly 6 freaking months to process a simple renewal? That's brutal service.

I submitted a couple of VAC claims at the start of summer..............crickets
I mean it's on me for waiting 20 years, but still at least a "yeah we got the paperwork buddy, we will get to you" would be nice.
I feel your pain.

Pretty much had it with fools who have no issue doing 10-20 below the speed limit on the highway during perfect conditions. It’s the ####ing highway, everyone else is congested and delayed because these inconsiderate losers think morning rush hour is the time for a leisurely drive.

Driving 10km below the speed limit is the most dangerous thing you can do.

We live in an era where everyone is impatient and wants everything now. I kind of get annoyed when I am behind someone that's leisurely takes an off-ramp below the speed limit making it difficult to merge but maybe the whole concept of making decisions at higher speeds it too much for some people that struggle with driving and I do believe there are a lot of people today that are not very good at driving. We may not want to see those people exceeding the speed limit.

I started noticing this during the pandemic a lot, and just after. It kinda feels like "20 under" is the new "10 over". Drives me nuts.

Working with old bitties who want to put the breaks on everything in an excess of caution without putting in any work.

Probably don't want to see them on the road, quite frankly.

What? No, it's just coagulation from exposure to air. When it's on pudding, it's just dehydrated casein.

Have they ever tried making licencing exams tougher in Alberta?

They just made it all easier to get licenses last year. Expect driving to get worse.

Same thing here in NSW, Australia. It's never been easier to obtain a licence and it really shows on the road.
