Years ago, I made a tweak to the CSS for the page to put a maximum width on images to fix that and sent it to photon.

Unfortunately, the forum software is old and badly designed, so adding the same code to the Advanced reply and editing pages screwed up the display of the reply boxes, so the same fix didn't work on those pages.

Modern browsers and CSS might be able to make it work if someone wants to take a stab at it.

How old is the software here? I'm no technological tech techie but sometimes I wonder if the old vbulletin could stand to have an update or 40

Well thats your fault for buying early! lol

I'm going to guess it's slightly less old than Scorpion, but not by much.

I don't know about you guys, but I kinda like having this retro forum just the way it is.

It's like a small slice of the golden age of the internet (1996-2006) that we get to enjoy in the present day.

The problem with the early mergers is, on a busy day like Tuesday, the right lane of eastbound Memorial west of of 10th St. backs up past the exit to 14th St. southbound which now adds more cars to a single lane of traffic. So while Mr. Early-merge-and-straddle-the-lanes thinks he's being polite, he's actually causing a further back up.
I did this to a wholebunch of mofos passing every one on the shoulder off Glenmore turning into the Grey Eagle last week.

I was honking the first few guys who passing on the shoulder and my daughter was super embarassed but eff these guys! lol

So it seems like stopping at 4 way stops is the new traffic thing to be ignored. Every day now as I'm approaching one I see someone roll through slowly but not stopping.

And good luck with those screen shots at the airport.
I took printouts of Icelandic entry requirements for Covid vaccinations in 2020 because my son was near the age where they weren’t required for entry (at the time, they hadn’t been offered in the UK to people under 16). I just knew the airline (easyJet) would try and #### us around.

Sure enough, at the boarding gate, we were denied boarding. When I showed the attendant at the gate, the Icelandic government requirements, she was having none of it and wouldn’t even look. I persisted and she called security on us despite my son being visibly upset.

The security guard looked and advocated for us. The woman called Border Force who confirmed we were right. She looked devastated, told us we could board without looking at us or apologising.

Good luck if you’re caught short in a Chinese opium den.

Oh I've been there...they are not a forgiving bunch and they're not overly thrilled about extending credit!

I have a collection of pesos, Euros, American dollars from travelling in recent years. Coins in each of those as well.

I have a 1000 peso bill I got years ago when working on projects in Mexico.

No one would take it at the small shops / stores where we were as they all thought it might be fake.

I keep it as a novelty thing now. Thing is worth about 70 bucks give or take.

Not worth the effort to try and exchange.

Any time a story about someone get convicted of a violent crime gets posted on r/calgary the top comments are complaints about the justice system sucking without any suggestions on how to fix it beyond putting people in jail for longer.

Right now there’s a thread about a guy who ran over his wife who got manslaughter. They feel he should have gotten murder because obviously he meant to do it. Of course they don’t have any facts to back that up but #### the Charter I guess?
