Understandable. Without gate revenue, there really isn't much incentive to play AHL games.

Bit of a shame. The Flames farm teams seem to make the playoffs even less than the Flames do. It looked like they were going to make it this year. Would've been good development experience for some of the prospects.

It sucks for fans in San Antonio who are losing their team, it's too bad they don't get a farewell game or anything

What does this mean for the NHL as far as call-ups and demotions? Do all players still need to follow the same protocol as NHL players in case they're called up as a black ace? (Assuming NHL continues to attempt to play this season)

Presumably, the black aces would have to go through the same isolation/quarantine process as the roster players. If a roster player got hurt, they wouldn't be able to wait for a player to go through a two-week isolation before activating him. They would also want the players to be practicing in case of a call-up.

The interesting question will be what happens if the NHL decides to have a regular season in 2020-21 and the AHL doesn't?

Stay tuned for the Stockton Airlift.

If they're seeking clarity on LTI players, I'm guessing Valimaki is close to returning.
