Just finished watching, I'm not so lenient. Max was having a helmet fire after the pitstop and went full send with no ######s given and deserves everything he gets. He pushed Ham wide on lap one and got the same courtesy in return. Race the way you want to be raced.
Kudos to DR and good the teamwork by Norris, was a great show of respect and teamwork for the 1-2.

This was my first time watching a race on TSN (usually download them) and holy Christ was that an awful experience. I get they have to pay the bills, but not cutting back from ads during an absolutely crucial moment of the race is unforgivable.
I wish I hadn't stepped away from F1 after seeing that result. Amazing to see Ricciardo win another race. That netflix episode is going to be a monster next spring.
So did anyone else watch qualifying? It was the usual Monza backup disaster, with fast lap cars hitting road blocks on the last corner. This isn't the only track it happens on, and it's incredibly dangerous.
Anyway, I'm going to fix this problem. In Q1, the top 5 drivers by points don't take part. They are pretty much guaranteed to make it out of Q1, so why have them clogging up the track? It's a serious safety issue, and having 20 cars fight for track space means it's going to keep happening. So you have 2 sessions of 15 drivers, and Q3 has 10. There, solved.

I actually really like this. I enjoy a good ol fashioned Q1 upset (usually caused by one of these traffic jams) but it's definitely an unnecessary hiccup and hazard
The crash with Max and Ham broke a bunch of our pics, but kudos to Btimbit again as he takes the weekly top hours with 3 correct slotted and 7 top 10, both top marks. Pulls a 14pt gap to DoubleK overall, DoubleK was second this week.

Verstappen and LeClerc taking new PU elements, so both start at the back. Some talk of a weather delay for qualy tomorrow, so extend your recording. Wet qualy should be fun, though. Hopefully add some excitement to a dull track.
Nothing too exiting from FP2. There is a strip of astro turf Giovinazzi got on, and sent him into the wall, mostly looked to damage the rear wing. Their is also a massive sausage curb Gasly went over and de-winged his ride.
