I think he is a good example of why you give some people time to grow into things and why you don’t just dump all your talent in the big show even if they have good days, some lessons are better learned at a slower and less pressured level, easier to gain confidence when you don’t have a full pro bullying you and beating on you at every turn.

Pretty weak call, and the Canes go right back on the PP. Hmm...it's almost like the Flames have a 2 goal lead, and the officials are trying to manage the game and get the Carolina back into it.

PK has looked great since they split up Brouwer and Stajan. They are good enough but they need the assistance of guys with speed like Backlund and Bennett.

You know, I've become less frustrated by the reffing as I've come to understand the game management that goes on.

But man oh man it still raises my blood pressure when these same things were going uncalled in the first period.

Ha, you could see on the replay that his left hand wasn't on his stick when that happened. I wonder where it was? I wish they'd call hooking and holding the stick as offsetting minors sometimes, but I don't think I've ever seen it.
