Had an idea!

Well at least he is promoting that the province is open for business even if he hasn't done anything.
I wonder what some of the bigger producers are thinking right now.

So, are we still getting money to protect the city from another multi billion dollar flood?

From what I've read today, the majority of execs in the industry are cautiously optimistic.

Nice to see Albertans have finally figured out they are allowed to vote out incumbent governments. 2 government changes in 4 years is as many as the previous 80 years.
Don't be afraid to do the same thing in 4 years.

Question for some of the accountants on this board regarding some potential changes in Alberta.
With the new UCP government looking at repealing the carbon tax, how would this affect someone who hasn't filed taxes in a few years? A friend of mine asked the other day and I didn't have an answer since I am more in tune with the political environment than some other friends.
It's my understanding that they haven't filed since the carbon tax came into effect and they haven't received their rebates of course, now they want to see if its possible to get retroactive benefits by filing before the law changes?
Thanks

Stupid, eh? Ironic, when you seem to be oblivious to electoral systems that are both proportional and maintain local "representation".

Alberta energy stocks had a solid bump to follow the election. CNRL, Cenovus and Crescent point all up at least 3% over the day.

CPG had jumps of 5% and 8% in the last two weeks. Cenovus is up 40% YTD.
Whatever point you're trying to make, it's wrong.

So you're saying there is no correlation between Albertan energy stocks jumping after voting in the UCP? Totally within your right but most business networks and stock market analysts would disagree with you.

Correlation does not necessarily equal causation. In this case, the experts agree with me.
