I would suspect the "Mosque" wasn't sat atop a hill like the Alamo, rather it would be part of a large Training Village type facility. Why a "Mosque"? Well the CAF had been fighting a war in a Muslim country and having that landmark in their training area only makes sense, much like I reckon they would also have had a "Afghan National Police station" an "Afghan local political office building" and any other number of common areas that show up in small villages & towns in your AO.
Realistic training, including the use of realistic landmarks saves lives. This doesn't mean that the CAF (or ####eaters if in Suffield) were targeting the "Mosque" rather it was a point of reference much like other points in town.

I look forward to seeing the video.

Ok, that makes may more sense. In a village setting calling out the different types of buildings including those that may be off limits would be important. I jumped on the original description that implied a single standalone building that was specifically detailed as a mosque.
The fact that it is a mosque is in retrospect consistent with the rest of the village not exactly looking like a suburban neighborhood since they are training for a specific (on-going at the time) conflict.

You can also hunt at Wainright, here is a draw/tags specifically for that area.
I don't think they allowed it last year, but this year, it's probably available again.
Long wait to get drawn there though.

For what its worth, when I was in Afghanistan ~15 years ago, outside of Kabul, there was very little indoor plumbing. A typical toiler was a hole in the ground. Hopefully things have improved since then.

Does seem kind of an ignorant thing to do by the Canadian Army.
Thoughts?

Aww it’s way more fun to pretend like we don’t know who returnees are. Wasn’t puckluck the silly goose who got scared at a plastic bag in his shower? I’d want to act like I didn’t know who that was either.

Calgaryblood is certainly Knightslayer. Unsure about puckluck though. That wasn’t confirmed while he was still operating under calgaryblood but it was suspected.

You have to admit your poop issues and absolute hatred of coffee are memorably insane. When two posters have the exact same issues (together) it’s kind of obvious.
