Turbo just means "faster" ever since our PC's got a turbo button.
Which was in itself dumb since the "Turbo" mode was the real speed and switching it off was actually slowing down the clock speed of the CPU for compatibility for older software. The button should have been called r3tard.
I also claim I like the clean interface of the Tesla but I have soft spot for these kind of ignition sequence:

Feels like you should be launching something after that sequence.

Yeah I just dont find most of those offferings any more exciting than a plaid Tesla. I'll give the Porsche a look, but WTF are there 'turbo' Taycans? That irrationally grinds my gears.
Yeah it's what you prioritize.
I don't care about going 0-100 in 2 seconds. 4.5 seconds is more than fast enough for me. I want comfort, strong build quality, and cool tech all around me.
MB with their augmented reality HUD is AMAZING compared to any other HUD I have seen, and Tesla doesn't even offer a HUD for any of their models last I checked.
The build quality should, I've seen higher quality materials in a Mitsubishi.
Sure - as does probably even your old Aston Martin - but neither makes a legit EV yet, so not sure how those are relevant here?
I like EVs for that torque, technology and innovation. Not so much for the luxury fluff, especially when you have to frequently transport a horde of leather destroying gremlins. I suppose if you want it all there is always Lucid.

I mean in that case, my old-ass Range Rover does too even, but I’m not talking about luxury fluff, I mean actual build quality. Good materials and a high standard of build quality — neither of which I’ve yet to see in a Tesla-manufactured vehicle — should stand up to both regular wear and tear *and* your gremlins for longer.
There’s a reason why Tesla toils away near the bottom of the reliability reports with Land Rover despite having a fraction of the complexity in terms of luxury fluff that can break; they just aren’t made very well. For the price, there’s better.

Not that surprising. Retail gas stations make more money from their shops/restaurants than gas. Wawa has been adding Tesla Superchargers and offering free charging with a purchase, and I imagine lots of similar business models will start popping up as charging will bring people into their stores for longer.

EVs actually completely change the dynamic of service stations to more of a place to get a captive audience that has to wait at least 15-45 minutes for a charge. It becomes more like turning regular consumers that might gas up quickly to be like truck driver rest stops that could make more money from waiting charging customers.

EV eats and/or convenience store delivery to your door? That'd be kinda cool concept
Agreed it feels a little bit like the old school drive through concept, or a click/collect/fast food order pick up, but more.
Expanding beyond having these at malls would be very interesting.
We sure could use some Autogrill type places in Canada. We have a pretty poor rest-stop game.
They have some pretty sweet rest areas in Florida that we have stopped at while driving around. We definitely need infrastructure similar to that in Canada especially if the electric network is going to grow and make long distance travel possible.

Buc-ee's style stations with food/games/shopping would be amazing.
