Slayer band
Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.

I read the news on my Facebook feed this is really shocking and sad. I though he was eventually going to recover from the spider bite, must have been too much for his organs. Rest in peace jeff.
Seen Slayer three times. Best of them all was 2000 when they were on tour with Pantera and Static-X. A bunch of us skipped the Calgary show and went to the Vancouver one a week earlier. Bonus was partying with Pantera in the bar at the Commodore while Fear Factory was playing (who kindly waited for the show at the PNE to finish up so everyone could make it down). Really did not think we'd all be saying goodbye to such legends like Hanneman and Dimebag so early.
I love Children of Bodom, but this new album is looking pretty rough. Both the songs I have heard are so mediocre/bad. They had Halo of Blood out on youtube, but it has been taken down.
The new Kalmah album, based on the song they released is looking a lot LOT better than the new Bodom album.
I really liked Relentless Reckless Forever, but before that they had 2 really weak albums. This is looking a lot like Blooddrunk which was pretty poor, but not on the Are You Dead Yet? level of bad.
I listened to a preview of the first 4 songs i think, its good but yeah I agree, still going to buy it though lol. The new Kalmah does sound fantastic.
