Of course, but none of the 8 noms for Inception were for acting; individually Leo is 0/4 at the Oscars, 0/8 at the SAG Awards and 0/3 at BAFTA... but I feel most would agree he's deserving of something at some point in his career...
I was too busy to even go out for Interstellar. As for this one... I'm not white, I'm not native, and I sure as hell can't ride a horse. I want all the available spots to be filled by people from CP.

In a world where Eminem, Three 6 Mafia, Adele and Mo'Nique have as many Oscars as Martin Scorsese, deserve has nothing to do with it.

I think most of this is being filmed in BC but there will be portions in Alberta as well. Most of it will be in the Rockies and have little to do with Calgary.

Academy Awards have become a diluted and deluded joke. They hardly mean anything other than a night out with friends and having the champagne paid for.

Weird how musicians are winning oscars for best original song in a motion picture...
I think you're aware that wasn't my point, more that it's absurd how the greatest living director has only one Oscar (and for his what, 5th best movie?). He's also lost twice to freaking actors (Redford and Costner), and once to a convicted child rapist. I'd say that pretty much devalues the Oscars to irrelevant.
