Well, it took 10 match points, but Aryna Sabalenka finally gets by Iga 6-3 6-3 to make the Cincy finals.

Speaking of clownery, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I actually some some posts on social media saying that Felix was throwing shade at Jack saying "You know Jack" on the disputed call. Felix was the only guy who handled the situation the correct and proper way.

Reading today that Tiafoe and Tabilo have been added to Team World for the Laver Cup. Nice to see Alejandro get the call, the former Canadian who now plays for Chile has had a fine season.

Simona Halep had her whole career ruined, doesn't seem fair to me.

I understand the skepticism but you either have to trust the process or conclude that International Tennis Integrity Agency isn't legit. I'll roll with the former but I don't discount the politics involved.

Its extremely suspect that he failed 2 tests but was able to keep playing and there was no announcement of this until he was clear. If this was Shapovalov for example, he would have been suspended and not able to play until the investigation was closed. They are showing extreme favoritism towards Sinner. And I'm not saying he is guilty (I have no idea) but that he was treated differently than Halep, Gasquet, Cilic. Heck Troicki got suspended for a year just for missing a blood test when Serena Williams missed one nothing happened.

If there's politics involved here it's that suspending the only guy who looks even remotely like he can challenge Alcaraz for the next 5-7 years would render the sport wholly boring. And letting Sinner walk turns him into a huge villain, another thing the sport could benefit from. So yeah it's definitely political lol, no doubt any also-ran is getting the boot. This is kind of shrewd by the tour to be honest.

Richard Gasquet lost in qualifying for the Open and is retiring. He will forever be known for 2 things:
1) Beating Federer in 2005 when Fed went 81-4 that year
2) successfully getting his coke suspension revoked because he argued he got exposed by making out with a model

My favorite Gasquet memory was when Inglewood Jack went to the US Open and someone at the match he was at made a crack about Gasquet doing coke and he got a major death stare after.
