Yeah, I just saw that - That's terrible, between the verbal abuse hurled at Korda throughout his match (he did nothing, just happened to be playing an Italian) and this incident, the fans are behaving very badly in Rome today.

Reports are that Novak is okay, the water bottle caused a small cut on his head, but he'll be ready to hit the court on Sunday.

His Insta has him shown wearing a bike helmet while siging autographs. Send like he's in good spirits about it.
Eta, looks like it wasn't intentional. A fan was going to get Novak's autograph and the water bottle in his bag slipped and fell out. It was an accident.

Felix moves on defeating BVDZ 6-1 7-6(6). Second set FAA rallied from 5-1 down. Certainly not pretty tennis, but very gutsy.

So can we take half-credit for Tabilo defeating Novak since Alejandro was born and raised in Toronto?

At this point, we might have to rely on a court in Germany putting Zverev behind bars.

De Minaur is too good of a player these days, you can't hit 13 double faults and expect to be victorious. Also, a 51% first serve percentage is also not good enough, needs to be mid 60's for Felix to be successful. Such a golden opportunity wasted with most of the top guys injured or eliminated.

Well at least he's back to being competitive against top players but 13 double faults is not going to get it done against anyone.

That's the takeaway for me as well, De Minaur has been a top-t0 player for the last 8-10 months so the fact that Felix is right there is encouraging. When the match is this close, a few points can decide who wins and loses and you just can't afford to be tossing away that many free points.

Hopefully, Holger Rune will send Patrick Mouratoglou packing (again) soon. Baez is a tough opponent especially on clay, but his ranking continues to fall.
