Meanwhile, Nick Kyrgios was busy doing Nick Kyrgios things today. You can search for it on social media if interested, but it's pretty bad taste and very immature stuff.

When you’re copying the worst of Sean Avery, and then doubling down on it, you done f’d up

If ESPN has any type of values left, they would not have Kyrgios on the broadcast today. Thus, I fully expect to see Nick front and center on my tv screen for the men's final.

Why is the final starting so early? Normally it's after the morning NFL games I thought

Yeah, I did a double take when I saw the start time. Maybe they don't want to compete with the afternoon NFL game, I'm not sure.

Well, if the first set is any indication, this match might be done before the NFL afternoon games start.

I do have to chuckle every time they show Fritz's box and his two coaches, they look like a NASCAR pit crew with all the advertising patches they are wearing.

Sinner just too good, Fritz played a fine match today (opening set a little shaky), but Jannik is just too strong from the baseline and his movement was excellent today.

Great performance by Sinner, once he beat Medvedev it was his title to lose. I can't think of a less exciting mens major final, been a while. Fritz played well but he's a clear step below Sinner

Linear ball basher versus linear ball basher is not going to provide an exciting match. Fritz had the most success when he tried to throw in some variety, but he's still not comfortable at the net and trying to out bash Sinner is a losing proposition.

Shapo up a break serving at 4-2 in the opening set versus Frankie Cerundolo.
Edit: Failed to consolidate from 40-love up however.

Shapo breaks to take the opening set 7-5. Interesting to note that it appears that Shapo has ditched his Yonex Vcore SV 95 and is using what appears to be a Yonex Ezone judging by the cosmetic (likely the 98)
Edit: An early break in set 2 for Denis. On a roll at the moment.

Denis puts Canada up 1-0 over Argentina as he defeats Frankie Cerundolo 7-5 6-3. Next up is Felix taking on Sebastian Baez.

Yeah he's been photographed practicing with an Ezone of late. I sure hope he can get his racquet situation sorted out as he's been flip-flopping for a few years now trying the Ezone and then going back to his old Vcore.

I look forward to Canada winning the Davis Cup and giving me false hope for the 2025 tennis season

Felix takes the opening set over Baez 6-3. A shaky start from Felix, but much better play from FAA as the forehand especially caught fire.
