Here's the President of Rwanda going off. This keeps up and they are going to lose the coveted "Visit Rwanda" sponsorship

I'd love to be able to... Yet here we are.

I know it’s a bit early, but this result puts a real dent in our title hopes.

It is wonderful to see Van Dijk back out there.

That was a really nice, solid, stable Liverpool performance.

Thats all you want, just get back on track.

And Joel Matip better sort himself out. I've been a big fan of his for a long time but he just always gets injured.

Sort it out Joel. This isnt last year anymore, there are 3 guys waiting in line to take your job.

well that was fun today. There will be bigger tests than Leeds (whose setup makes them prone to results like this), but still, that was a great performance given it was opening day and several important players are not up to speed or even available yet. Bruno and Pogba were outstanding today, also really liked Greenwood and McTominay in particular. But really, the whole team looked sharp ... no complaints.

Varane's unveiling right before the game was great too. Must have been a fun atmosphere in the stadium.

But....Fernandes didnt score any penalties so...did the game really happen or was it just a fever-dream?

A Manchester United match with no Bruno Fernanded penalties? Surely such a thing cannot exist!

I assume Torreira is on the left?

I wanna give grief to Pogba over his slow to cover Ayling, on his goal.

But really, it was an exceptional strike, and Pogba's subsequent pass to Greenwood was world class. He missed an early goal opp, but made up for it with some pretty assists.

ha! We'll obviously save those for the Liverpool games so that your manager can whine about it for two years

I was happy to see the league back, but looking at the lineup for Spurs this morning makes me feel like I was too optimistic. We’re going to get wrecked to open the season today.

It's pretty embarrassing that for how much money they've spent that City still play Mendy at all.

Great start to the season! This team is actually watchable again without Mourinho at the helm.

Shows what I know! Great performance today and really impressive showing by Tangaga in particular. I’m not sure how this works, but I think we get to keep Harry Kane because we won today?

City being unable to score should at least drive his value up.
