This is starting to feel like the Vancouver series all over again. The superior team takes the series lead and has a great opportunity in game 4 to completely break the Oilers' spirits. But then pulls a complete no-show for a couple of periods and lets the Oilers off the ropes. So damn frustrating.

Hopefully Dallas can regroup and get their s*** together to win game 5.

I said this in the first round, but I really don't think the Oilers are garbage. They have been too consistently strong, especially in the playoffs. I had doubts Vancouver was good enough to beat them and pinned all my hopes on Dallas... here we are and even that is looking... premature. Pinning this on luck is lazy thinking imo.

I think the "oilers are bad" is largely wishful thinking (though based on a long history of experience, so not without merit). Just this year, 2024 playoffs Oilers, they look good relative to other teams.

It's frustrating, but Dallas is still winning the series at the current moment, and they have played better for longer. Oilers are fast, and when they click, it's overwhelming, but Dallas is the better team averaged out. They will likely win, but it won't be the steam roll we all wanted.
