Hate the party but if Locke were to run on a platform of refusing to ever wear an oilers jersey no matter how far they make it in the playoffs I’d vote for him.

I could see him making a pitch for how building his own personal star destroyer to cruise around in would create jobs and be good for the economy. I mean sure it’ll probably take more than 1 term to get built, but I’m thinking Locke isn’t gonna give up power once he gets in so he’ll be playing the long game.

I could do this guys.
Why settle for the 'Lesser Evil?'
I've said it before and I'll continue saying it, we need Accountants to run this place.
A pure approach.
"We've balanced the budget, funneled cash into Education and Health Care and...we seem to be good!"
- "And whats your opinion on same-sex marriage, abortion and Trans-Rights?"
"Uhh...I believe that all people should have rights and the rest is really none of my, or the Government's business since the budget accounts for it. We need to re-pave Deerfoot. Next question."
And I totally would spend all of the 'War Room' money designing a Star Destroyer-shaped Helicopter. It is horrendously non-aerodynamic but I think with enough time and effort...we could make it happen.
What we really should do though is have me run as Nenshi's second-in-command...that would be really brilliant.

The old mayor of Chestermere lost his bid to get reelected. That's a big relief, otherwise it would have been legal drama for who knows how long. People can just move on and the guy can accuse Deloitte and the UCP of persecuting him in peace.
All the counsellors who were fired and re-ran lost re-election bids too.
I guess we'll see how things go from here.

Wouldn't an Enterprise D replica be a better use of money? You could park it in Vulcan when you're on vacation.

I'd certainly prefer it. Much better design.

I agree, hate to say it but I think Premier Smith may be doing something right this time.

I do wonder if there would've been an appetite for federal dollars in lieu to help fund the current ABX offering the province pays for?
Outright denial seems more political than fiscal

The national and provincial dental associations all said the money should be directed to the provinces to administer the national dental plan. Fell on deaf ears and now SunLife gets $750 million over 5 years to administer it. Such a waste of money.

For now. Expands to all ages in a year I think. Based on income level. If you have an employer sponsored plan of any sort, you are not eligible for the program.
Enough dentists are signing up to probably keep the plan afloat.

Are there enough Dentists that are getting onboard with the national program? I had read that only about 20% of clinics were signed up or thinking about signing up and the vast majority of those are in urban areas so the program doesn't effectively assist people living in rural areas.
