Ya front door of my building opens automatically once I use my fob, but it takes forever to open so I just avoid it wherever possible.

Saw one the other day with his flashers on, sure it was snowing and blowing, but we were all going 110 kph! No need to worry about getting run over at that speed.

It’s minor but noticeable. I am sorry as you will now never not see it again.
I don't care how many times the same VW Beetle shows up in the background, and I don't care that the bad guys' Dodge Charger lost six hubcaps: the chase in Bullitt is still the GOAT!

The Flashers people are hazzards. Thats why the call them Hazzard lights.
You turn them on when you are an Obstacle. Whenever I see them on I know that I am driving near someone who doesn't pull their bank card out until after the cashier asks them how they would like to pay.

Way too many times I've got places to go but have been stopped dead in my tracks while the person in front hits the button and stands there like a statue while the door creeps open like the mighty gates of a medieval castle. I could have been 15 meters away on the other side if we just did things the old fashioned way.
The door close button in my elevator is like that. The button does nothing for like a solid 7 seconds until it finally goes 'beep', then it allows you to close the door. Slowest f--king elevators on the planet, too.

I always remember my old apartment, which I also felt was the slowest elevator on the planet. We should have raced them!

I lived on the second floor so I almost never used it.

I'd be up the stairs and down the hall before the doors even opened on the ground floor.

Of course! But when I'm not affected by them, watching strugglers struggle is extremely entertaining to me.

Everytime I go grocery shopping I pick something up and laugh at the price, then realize it's not really necessary and put it back.

Then there are shipping costs that have become unreasonable. Was about to order something from the US that would fit in a 6" x 6" box, 1.4 lb. $40.70 USD

This is ridiculous.

Dude...you're like that guy that was astonished that pop at the liquor store was more expensive than in the store.

You moved to an Island and are now surprised that the cost of Groceries is higher?

I dont know what to tell ya...'of course?'

Water...Still wet? More news at 11.

If you'd moved to Tuktoyaktuk the cost of Groceries would be higher than it is in Calgary. Because...'of course?'

I found groceries in Australia reasonable, and the locally produced fresh food (vegetables, meat, fruit) was exceptionally good.

Is it really an island if you can drive there?

Those prices are far and away higher than what we see here at this point though.

A quick check on the superstore app has a dozen large eggs in Calgary priced between $4-$8

12 pack of Dr Pepper is $7.30

Bags of potatoes are anywhere from $7-$10

Well maybe those prices aren't that high then. I guess I should confess I barely look.
